The Arkansas Department of Education confirmed the news with a statement Tuesday morning saying they had come to an agreement with Suggs to accept his immediate resignation. Suggs has collaborated with community partners to develop recognition programs for students and staff, honoring and encouraging academic excellence and good character. Dexter Suggs, who served as IPS' chief of staff for the 2012-2013 school year, resigned his post Tuesday as superintendent of the Little Rock School District. He applied for and received a grant to integrate technology into the school curriculum, with the goal of creating a "paperless" environment for staff and students.
